Increase Floor Stock in SAP ME

Hi Community,

I would like to find a way, how to increase the floor stock in SAP ME.

When I try to increase the amount in the activity "Maintain Floor Stock" in the field Qty on Hand, there is an issue which does not allow me to post it.

("Quantity on hand cannot be increased for inventory imported from ERP (Message 17328)")

Is there any work around or other activity where I can increase that stock? The reason for this is for example, when inventory couting is done and in ME there has to be more stock manually added to reach the same level in ECC.

This is the way it is designed, and it is not configurable.

However, I was able to increase it by using the "returnInventoryPiece" method of the "InventoryServiceWSBinding" web service.

Thanks  for your answered, I already thought like it is  as designed. At least your work around is working and should be sufficient for adding stock in ME.
