Does Appeon work on Windows 10?
I am having trouble getting the sample apps or AEM to load.
After re-installing it, it is working. I'm not sure 100% why. The things I did different:
Chose SQL Anywhere 11 for both 32bit/64bit. Previously I had SA12 for one and SA16 for the other.
Chose to install to 'default web site' instead of creating a new one.
Once I got into AEM, the transaction objects were throwing an error. I changed them to use ODBC Driver instead of SQL Anywhere Native Driver. Now everything is working.

When testing Appeon I created a new web site called Appeon Web Site with physical address %SystemDrive%\inetpub_appeon\ to avoid mixing Appeon projects with other projects in my computer and had no problems with this configuration. The http port will be different though (e.g. 8001 or 8008).
I also noticed that trying to access named instances of SQL Server didn't work (e.g. ServerName: SERVER\DEV). I had to specify the specific port the named instance was using (e.g. ServerName: SERVER, Port: 60306).
My 2 cents.
Hi Roland, If AEM is not loading then your IIS server was most likely not configured properly or something went wrong with the Appeon Server installation. Did you follow watch the installation video and then follow the installation guide step-by-step?
BTW, if AEM is not working then there is no way the sample apps will work. Whenever we troubleshoot the first thing we look for is that AEM is working.

Armeen

Hi Roland;
Yes, all the recent Appeon releases are all tested & certified for W10. I have been on W10 since July 2015 on my laptop & September 2015 on my desktop and Appeon has worked flawlessly for me on both machines (with high & normal resolution & dual monitors).
1) What release & bitness of Appeon are you running?
2) Are you on the .Net or Java version of Appeon?
3) What version(s) of PB are you using?
4) What version & bitness of SqlAnyWhere are you using?
Regards ... Chris

Yep, a 404 error sounds like an IIs / installation issue.
FYI ....
Before you install Appeon Server on .NET/IIS server, make sure
Windows 10 has IIS 10. I have the following installed:
Microsoft .Net Framework 4.5 Multi-Targeting Pack
Microsoft .Net Framework 4.5 SDK
Microsoft ASP.NET MVC 3
Microsoft ASP.NET MVC 4 Runtime
Microsoft ASP.NET Web Pages
Using 12.5 I am able to deploy a web service to IIS and call it from a 12.5 client using SOAP.
I will try re-installing and watching the installation videos.
Yes.
On machines with super high resolution screens (surface pro 4 for example), the web apps are not usable unless you change the text size back to 100% and then move the resolution down so everything is visible.
