Hello,
In the new SAP Business Client (fresh instalation with no previous NWBC clients installed), we are failing to Pin Tabs and save them to the corresponding file (*_NWBC.tabs). The issue is similar to the one described in a question posted by Rober Libert in the following link: https://scn.sap.com/thread/3633888 , only we do not have previous NWBC versions installed on our computers.
It seems that the nwbc.tabs file gets appropriate entries at runtime, but when we exit and re-enter, it gets cleared. Is there additional setting that handles this (NwbcOption.xls or elsewhere) that needs to be set and we are missing?
How to make sure that we can save the tabs for future use when opening the landing page next time?
Your help much appreciated.
Thank you,
Matevz
Hello Matevz,
Just checked with PL3, it should work.
Could you give it a try?
Best regards
Melinda

Hello Melinda,
Thank you for your reply. We tried upgrading to PL4, but it turned out that more importantly we needed to forcefully stop any background running processes that were locking certain SAP files.
Basis found that while we had a successfull instalation, some files had not been updated. After a check they found that they were locked by a running process in the backend. Releasing those file on the next instalation helped fix the problem.
Best regards,
Matevz
