Hi All,
I am new to SuccessFactors EC and one of our customer wants to report on data changes made in SuccessFactors EC by employees/HR Admins for some crucial data like Salary changes etc. Can you please let know how this Audit log functionality can be achieved.
Also can we trigger a workflow on these kind of data changes which does not needs an Approval as such but is for information of relevant payroll administrators (Not just a cc role of receiving notifications only).
I was thinking of creating and triggering a workflow via a rule having Workflow contributor as the only role involved in the process.
My query here is will this workflow will be in status completed once viewed by relevant Administrators group ?

You can report on who and when data was changed in EC Advanced Reporting and Ad-Hoc Reporting for effective-dated fields like Compensation Information and Job Information.

Hi,
Audit logs are alsways happening in EC and can be reported using the AdHoc report functionality. As for the Workflow, you can use a rule to trigger a workflow when certain values are changing... You can compare previous vs current values in the rule and decide to trigger your workflow.
