BEx Analyzer dropdown box - read mode P

Hi,

I'd like to use dropdown boxes in my IP planning workbook with a fine control of available values based on characteristic relationships. I'm able to perform this with navigation pane or with direct entry in the query table via F4 value help - see SAP note 2164380. However this feature doesn't seem to be available for dropdown boxes. Is there a way to activate the read mode P (planning context) for a dropdown box?

I'm on BW 7.31 / 18.

Thanks,

Marek

    Hello Marek,

I'm reading the note and per I understand the correction is already present on your system.

But the parameter recommended, mentioned that should be used up to SAPKW73117.

I'm not sure, but this could be wrong.
Maybe the parameter is necessary for your system version.

Also, the note recommends at least Business Explorer 7.40 patchleve 400. I do recommend you to try the latest one, FEP 500.

You can download via this note: 2118888. There is a direct link for Business Explorer patches.

    Also, try the parameter ANA_READMODE_P_REQUI = X on RS_FRONTEND_INIT.

Maybe this will solve the case.

    If not, update the thread.

    Best regards,
    Edward
