Transaction field with a drop down as well as scanable in Agentry

Hi Experts,

We need to display a field in transaction screen, which is a drop down and also should be scanable.

Right now, it seems, these 2 screen attributes(drop down + scanable) , can not be assigned to a single transaction field, If I give "Barcode Scan" in edit type, I can not give "List selection".

One of my colleague, suggested to have 2 separate fields with a disable rule for each field, to achieve this functionality. But we have many fields like this in the screen, which is cluttering the screen.

Is there a way to merge these 2 screen attributes? or I have to go with my colleague's suggestion?

Regards,

Arunkumar C N

Are you trying to use Complex Table Dropdown?

Then select that for the field type. Then on complex table selection tab select Scanning http://help.sap.com/saphelp_smp305sdk/helpdata/en/7c/14a023700610149c4187d82944f1b4/content.htm?frameset=/en/7c/14862170…

    • Hi Bill,

      Thanks for your helpful suggestion.

I linked both the fields with the update field as suggested, it works fine 😊

I placed both the fields in same position and hid the barcode scan field, once the list selection gets updated.

If the scanned value is not in the list, it defaults to "-- Select" mode.

      Thanks
