Running IQ Express on Windows 10

I would like to install IQ Express on my machine that's on Windows 10. I see in IQ installation documentation that Windows 10 is not supported, will it be supported in a future version? If yes any idea when?

Even though it is not documented, it does not mean you cannot install and test on Windows 10. One just needs to run the installer with compatibility option set to windows 7. If you do find any bugs that are specific to the OS then support will request that you go to a supported version, otherwise testing with Express Edition should not be an issue.

Hi Harpreet,

thank you for the clarification & hints.

I am, however, quite sure that .sap.corp can not be accessed from outside the SAP intranet (which is where I am these days).

SAP notes afaik continue to be restricted to people with an SAP service account which again afaik is intended that way.

IQ 16 will be supported on Windows 10, but probably not until early 2017.

is this a matter of known issues or just lack of urgency to go through the full regression (which I consider an absolutely valid reason)?

Without any access to Win10 or desire to use it, my blind guess is that, especially when running the server as an application (something I would consider rather normal for Express Edition), it shouldn't cause major problems compared to the more mature versions of Windows?

And with the support coverage of Express Edition, I wouldn't care too much about full product support in such a case.
