The document has not been opened when using Business One add-on

Hi Experts,

I recently upgraded SAP Crystal Reports for Business to SP07 and now when I click "Save" under Addons > Business One I get the messages:

Waiting for external Add-in command to complete

The document has not been opened.

I get this error in the following circumstances:

  • Clicking Edit from the Report and Layout manager to open the report and auto login to Business One
  • Opening Crystal Reports from Windows and logging into Business One / SQL Server
  • Clicking Save As and selecting a report and naming it
  • On 32bit SAP client and 64bit client
  • On latest Business One Patch level (9.1 PL11) and older ones (9.1 PL09)
  • Multiple Business One servers for various clients

Any help is appreciated.

Have you tried saving the file to the file system & importing it to see if that works?

Try turning off the Save Data with Report option as well

Hi Julie,

Yes it works if I save it to the file system and import it. But I am tasked with fixing the direct save addon. It worked with Crystal Reports PL05.

I do not have Save Data with Report turned on.

Hi Keshava,

I sometimes find this, or other issues on customer sites. Once the report has been imported, it is then able to be edited and saved using the CR Addin.

I have not investigated why it happens
