Object info count for maintenance order is mismatching

Former Member

Hi Experts,

Greetings!

We are using ECC 6.0 with EhP 7

In the PM Object information, the initial configuration was shown below:

We want to extend the Object information to 25 years (9125 days) since the life of the plant has crossed 10 years. So the configuration is changed as below:

Problem: After updating the no. of days, the notification count is perfectly matching wrt to Notification created / Completed notification where as the orders created / completed orders is shown only 50%, so the count is not matching

The object info key is assigned to all Functional location category, all Equipment category, all Notification types and all Maintenance order types and the count was perfectly working for 999 days

I am sure that some of you might have came across this situation. Kindly share your expertise.

Thanks & best regards,

Raj

Hi Raj,

Check in S061 table, by passing the Equipments, whether the number of orders are same compared to object info.

Also in IW38, get the list of orders, to confirm whether the values are same in both the cases.

Hi Terence,

In IW38 the created is 28 & Completed is 22 where as in table S061 created is 23 & Completed is 18

This difference usually will be there and due to the update frequency setting of Infostructures in OMOS.  (We do not usually change these standard settings). Here the default setting seems to be Monthly. See the picture.

If you want to immediately update this LIS, then you can do it so through tcodes OLPM and OLIX.

Hi Rao,

Thanks for the response.

1. You are right, the period is monthly and the update is V2

2. OLPM do I need to run only for S061 or S061, S062, S065 and S115?

3. OLIX has 3 options. A) Copy version B) Delete version C) Copy + Delete. Which option to run?

4. Should i run both OLPM and OLIX one after the other?

Thanks & Best regards,

Raj

Hi Terence,

Thanks again!

Let me try the option mentioned by Rao, then try the SAP note mentioned by you

Cheers,

Few notes regarding rebuilding of LIS

  • You set up a temporary version such as &(0  with OLPM
  • Then you copy this version to target version 000 in OLIX.
  • Always the data with version 000 only matters in any LIS.
  • Delete version 000 data before you copy temporary version to target 000 version in OLIX.
  • Otherwise the records might double.
  • If you are new to this exercise, first do it in DEV or Quality and then do in PRD.
  • In my experience nothing can go seriously wrong while rebuilding LIS, because we can always rebuild them after mistakes, happen if any.
  • The real data resides and flows to LIS from Tables (while updates/rebuild) which we will never be able to touch.

Good morning Rao,

Thanks for the response

I have completed the procedure mentioned by you

The table S061 is perfectly matching with the counts, refer below

Created notification: 25

Completed notification: 22

Created order: 28

Completed order: 22

However, the object information popup window doesn't reflect the same, refer below

Still I am missing something?

Please suggest

Thanks & best regards,

Raj

At this point we may have to look for Notes or knock at OSS.

Hi Raj,

I am not sure, whether you have tried this analysis.

In the Object Information Tab, click on the Order icon, this will go to IW38/IW39 screen, now check the period field filled dates, whether the date falls between 1988 to today's date.

Here the status will be checked as Outstanding / In progress / Completed automatically.

Try to check for completed and see how much is the difference or the value is same. In case if the value is same, try to extend the period to/fro and check.

Hi Terence,

It was already verified.

As I mentioned the data counts in IW29/IW39 is perfectly matching with table S061.

Only thing missing is refreshing the Object info window and this where we need to crack

Hi experts,

I have removed the tick from check box "Automatically" in OIK to check the behaviour of manual functioning. Interestingly the counts are matching perfectly with manual triggeing of Object info window.

Upon curiosity I have ticked the check box "Automatically" once again to see any change in the behaviour but the difference still exist.

So it is evident that the issue resides with the "Automatic population" of the data Only

Any thoughts now?

Raj

You are right Raj

I do not have this ticked in OIMD and may be this is the reason I never had the mismatch you experienced. Good observation.

Hi Raj,

I have the tick in OIMD, well i did a testing and found the data is correct.

Below is the object info setting i have in my system, except the number of days, your config and my config are same.

One more info, do you have this issue after any upgrades ? In such case, do you have any test system which does not have the upgrade, so you can test it.

I checked for notes, there was no relevant info available on this, may be you need to raise a OSS note.
