Dear All,

We are used Customer Project. In our scenario, we have create BOM. In that BOM. Scrap are available (Negative qty and amount). Before run the MRP, all related material are transfer to Project Stock. So, after run the MRP through MD51, system created the Planned order.

When we try to post the Production order from Planed Order, system get Error for budget availability.  We have checked that error has coming for Scrap material not reduce the budget.

Example :

Finished Goods cost  : Rs. 1000.00

In that Raw Material price : Rs. 950.00

Manpower cost : Rs. 200.00

Scrap Material : Rs. -150.00

So, we have provide budget of Rs. : 1000.00

Now, we transfer RM cost to project of Rs. 900.00

after that run MRP through MD51, so system created the Planned Order. After that, when try to post to production order, system get error message for the amount of Rs. 150.00

Requirement is at the time of create production order, system Reduce the Budget cost of Rs. 150.00

Please suggest, how system reduce the scrap material budget ?

Uttam Maity

Hi Uttam,

I think you can assign the Cost Elements associated with the Scrap Materials to Exempt Cost elements list in the Budget Settings in SPRO sing OPTK.

This way the budget will not be checked for scrap materials..

Can you test this?

Hi Sammar,

Thanks for the quick reply. We have not maintained anything in the Tcode : OPTK.

I have checked also, before save the production order, system calculate Manpower cost in the budget but not reduce the scrap material cost.

Please suggest.

Hi Uttam,

For the testing purpose you can maintain whatever budget that can accommodate everything or just put it into 200% for example.  Next run your end to end process having no budget issues.  Next have a look of availability control analysis report where you can see all line items and their respective impact into assigned value (increase/decrease/cost element etc).

It should become clear from that report what happens in the background.

My suggestion would be to maintain the cost elements in OPTK. and re activate the AVAC using CJBN.

As there is no other way for you to skip budget check..
