Hello,
I have purchased raw material say A and B to produce a finished good AB.
When i procure the raw materials with a purchase order, the goods are received to a logistic area P1100 - 20.(logistic area proposed by the system)
When I start the production process for finished good AB, the raw material issue to production is from 01-01-01 in which the rm stock is not available.
Do I have to do a goods movement from P1100-20 to 01-01-01 manually before I start the production process?
because with out doing a goods movement from the above mentioned logistic areas system throws an error saying "source inventory not determined" when clicking on propose quantities and source logistic area in the supply task.
Is doing the goods movement the standard process to follow?
I am not able to understand the configuration of Supply Chain design master data.
Please help.
Thanks and regards,
Vijay.
Dear Vijay,
Yes in this case you have to do goods movement manually from one logistics area to another area. If you dont want to do this way then while creating BOO(Bill of operation) enable the supply to production option. In this case whenever you released the production order system will create supply task.
First you have to complete the task, Here you can move goods from store area to production area. Then you can consume the RM in production area.
Regards,
Manoj
