Hi BEx Gurus,
Do you know of a way to default the queries in Bex so that the column widths do not adjust with each navigation step?
If you bring up the context menu and choose Properties, you can manually choose "Do not adjust column width" but that setting is for the specific query per specific user. Is there a general setting somewhere to that the setting is applied to multiple queries for any user?
Help.sap.com didn't have a thorough explanation of this request. And I couldn't quite find a setting on transaction /rsrt nor Visual Basics Editor in the Excel Macros setting.
Hello,
Thanks for your responses - it has been quite insightful!
Hopefully this is the last question, but how do I go about and create a worksheet template that locks the size of the excel cells?
I can active SAP Protection (from Tools) but this only limits the user from changing the worksheet - ie, Format and Layout options from the BEx toolbar functions are not available. But once I perform any navigational steps, the column widths are again altered to fit the texts in each cell.
I understand that once I create this worksheet that locks the column cells, I can choose it as my default permanent template. Just a matter of formatting the template.
Any suggestions?
Rhonnie

Is there not a setting in BW somewhere? Rather than creating a workbook to cover this issue?
Just wondering..

May be you can create a 'Workbook' for this case. So that that setting will become global for everyone..
