S/4HANA 1511 Sales Order Fulfillment

[MPS4HANA]

We installed 1511 FPS1 and activated RDS .

On FIORI launchpad we are able to see only few tabs - for Sales ...

(A) is this because the RDS has not been installed properly ?

(B) is it because of required Roles / catalog not assigned to my UID ?

(C) Is there any KPI setting required ??

(D) Any components missing ?

(E) which times should come in catalog that show no time ?

Any input / suggestion / help appreciated.

Hi Monika,

If you are missing "Fiori Tiles" from the Fiori Groups after installing 1511 SP01, you will have to do the following:

1. Apply note 2269272.  This note will fix the missing tiles.

2. Regenerate CDS Roles ABAP Artifacts in TCODE SACM.  The will fix some of teh ODATA services.

          Goto the Tocde, and select Roles under ABAP Artifacts and Regenerate all the roles. 

3. Activate  the following Odata services in TCODE /IWFND/MAIN_SERVICE. These services are needed for Sales Order Management App.

     a.      SD_SOFM_CREDIT_BLOCK_SRV

     b.      SD_SOFM_DELIVERY_SRV_01

     c.      SD_SOFM_INVOICE_SRV

     d.      SD_SOFM_SRV

     e.      SMART_BUSINESS_DESIGNTIME_SRV

     f.       SMART_BUSINESS_RUNTIME_SRV

4.       Use Tcode SICF to make sure that this service is active. " /sap/bc/ui5_ui5/sap/sofulfil_mons1 "

5.       Run program in SA38 .  /UI2/Delete_CACHE for all the fiori Users.

Hi willie,

after we applied mentioned note our htmlgui and webdynpro based apps are working and tiles and groups are fine, but now we have issues with some Fiori based apps (e.g. Create outbound Delivery...).

When we try to enter some Fiori apps we get error: Could not open app, try again later and we only can see reason for fails in chrome console log:

Fiori Apps failing with above error have worked before upgrade, any idea how can we solve this issues?

Tomislav,

From SP00 to SP01, many of the previously used HANA ODATA services are move into the ABAP Gateway ODATA using HANA CDS views.  On top of that, there are also changes on the Catalogs and Groups. 

So I would advise you to do the following :

1.Delete and recreate the ESH connectors. Do this in the ESH Cockpit or  using worklist (STC01 SAP_ESH_CREATE_INDEX_SC)

2. Activate  all the Odata services in TCODE /IWFND/MAIN_SERVICE which start with C_*. You don't need all but It is easier for you.

3. Create a new user and re assigned the roles to this user.

Now you should see all the  Groups and Tiles as it is delivered in 1511 SP01.

2. What about the ZRoles created based on SAP standard roles - any changes will required to be done in them as well?

Dear Willie,

We receive WebDynpro errors in Tiles - (e.g. display sales order, create sales orders)

Q1 - For WebDynpro Apps - is there any specific SAP NOTE is to be applied ?

As per FIORI App library - only few FIORI apps released for 1511 ( Sales Order Fulfillment, Incoming Sales, Sales Volume, Sales Actuals) & 3 FIORI apps for Billing in FPS02.

Q2 - what would/should be the process to "ADD" the NEWLY released Fiori-Apps in FPS02 to existing FIORI Launchpad / installations ?

Q3 - Is there any other activity required in addition to all three update -- (  i) backend S4CORE update of S41511 to S41511 FPS02  + (ii) FIORI Component of Backend updated to FPS02 + (iii) FIORI Component of Front-end (N/W) updated to FPS02.  ?

Hi Monika,

Q1.  What kind of error are you running into?  Make sure that you are using the fully qualified domain name in the url when accessing the fiori launchpad.  The Webdynpro app will need the FQDN  and using Ip address will not work. 

Q2. When you upgrade to SP02, the catalog will include more apps, and more apps will also be assigned to the groups from these catalogs.  If you didn't see the new apps in the assigned groups, you will have to clear the cache and reset the group.

Q3. I have not done a SP02 upgrade yet, so I have no specific experience that I can share on this.  But I would assume that you will have to upgrade the entire stack including the frontend components (gateway) and backend (S4CORE plus other backend components that is needed).  You will also have to check for note for the upgrade, and if any app doesn't work, you will have to search for notes to fix each app. 

I will update you once I have specific knowledge of this .

We had a new installation of S/4HANA 1511. I am facing issue with KPI Design Group.

1.  SMART_BUSINESS_DESIGNTIME_SRV  and SMART_BUSINESS_RUNTIME_SRV are not available in frontend server. I checked in /iwfnd/maint_service

2. When I try to add a service "C_APFLEXIBLEAGING_CDS" it is showing below error.

3. When I try to configure drill-down, it is not loading the actual data but only dummy data is visible.

4. DO you think applying Note - 2269272 will help?.

Did you manage to install SMART_BUSINESS_DESIGNTIME_SRV  and SMART_BUSINESS_RUNTIME_SRV  services in the FrontEnd Server?

Hi Yogendra,

We had the same issue (and others) with the Aging Analysis app. We are on 1511 FPS02.

Check that the CDS views are all active, some of ours were not.

Also sometimes you need to keep trying to add/remove the service and Load Metadata in /iwfnd/maint_service.

The behaviour here is not always consistent.

In PFCG make sure you have created the backend role correctly and assigned the OData service to the role then assigned the role to users. We found the app tile would not load on the launchpad until the PFCG part was 100% correct.

The lost references note will help if you have a number of tiles with the error "References Lost". Go into your Launchpad designer and see if that is the case.

Hi Monika,

this looks way too scarce.

See image below how a 'typical' SD user looks in our trial / Blu-Ray shipment. The roles of this user are also listed below (some of them are Z-roles for our trial use case, though).

Can you check on the roles if you have the same assigned to your user ?

Also, if you did an upgrade from SP00 --> FPS01, there was an issue with Fiori tiles that got removed from their respective catalogs during the upgrade (can't find the note number right now).

That looks like the Cloud Fiori tiles

I don't believe the Sales Fiori tiles are available at the moment.

The Fiori library filtered  by S/4HANA on Prem - only has 2 Sales tiles - and they are web-dynpro.

Internal Sales Representative is the role - hopefully this will be released to the On Prem version soon.

Yes Mark, When I checked FIORI Library, it says Three out of Fourteen FIORI apps available for S/4HANA 1511, rest are for earlier versions... & hence I got bit confused....

So it means, "as of now" if any client takes up 1511 implementation, then only 3 FIORI app for 1511

& rest Apps Tile link will point to "web-dynpro"

I am confused - you said you can see the applications now to Joerg

To confirm you can only see a few tiles (or tiles with data) - and so the roles proposed by Joerg do not fully work in the on prem versions.

So - you can display the apps that are in his screen shot in an on prem version.

at the current point in time, the majority of the tiles in the roles above in on-premise installations will not be newly developed Fiori tiles but links to Web GUI transactions that open up in a browser pop-up window, i.e. as Mark observed below, they will also not be mentioned in the Fiori library). I hope that clarifies the confusion.

Wrt. to the blank window issue:

The Web GUI URLs will point to something like

vhcals4hci.dummy.nodomain:44300/sap/bc/ui5_ui5/ui2/ushell/shells/abap/FioriLaunchpad.html?sap-client=100&sap-language=EN&sap-sec_session_created=X#SalesQuotation-create

Any log in the browser console when you run this ? Pop-up blocker or other browser plugins ? Errors/deactivated services in TA SICF ?

Joerg, this clarification is very useful. Is it documented somewhere what WebDynpro apps there are with tiles associated to roles? i.e. how can people browse WebDynpro apps which aren't on the Fiori Apps Library, but will have tiles pre-configured by roles?

I am able to only "view" the tiles. Will require a little-bit-of-debugging as to why-the-tile opens another-window and shows blank screen.

As stated by Joerg, I see error-log in the window browser console.

Anyways, for now my priority is to focus on checking the NEW Apps for S/4HANA 1511, hence focusing on the 3 Apps - Sales Order Fulfillment & happy to say, I do see some valid data in them... 🙂

in our S/4HANA 1511 FPS1 Demo21 system we have the same roles for SD user as you mentioned for trial/blu-ray shipment. First we had the same aligned tiles and groups like in your screenshot, but after we installed support package SP01 for UI component UIS4HOP1 100, we got empty groups like Monika and now we fail to enter some webgui apps that we could enter before upgrade,it fails with error "Could not open app, try again later".

Are we missing something? Did you find the note number regarding SD issue with Fiori tiles that got removed from their respective catalogs during the upgrade, we could not find note that you previously mentioned,

To fix the problem of empty groups after an upgrade to 1511 SP01, you will have to apply SAP note

2269272 - "Reference Lost" Error for FLP Tiles after applying new UI component version.
