Populate a multi value parameter with a command source

Hi all, I have a report where users can select from a list of sales people they would like to report on, obviously they have no way of knowing if the person has any sales or not so I would like to run a query on the sales tables and limit the selectable sales people to those that have sales , is this doable ?

    Hi Peter,

    Yes, certainly!

The query you'd write would have an Inner Join from Sales Person Table to the Sales Table.

Of course, I've freely assumed that they both are in separate tables.

You'd then add this SQL via the Add Command option and NOT join it to the existing tables. CR will complain about unsupported data sources and all that, which you may safely ignore.

You should then be able to modify the prompt to use a dynamic list of values from the field in this new Command object.
