Hello! I am brand new at using Design Studio 1.6. I am a former Dashboards (Xcelsius) user.
I see for Infocharts, there is conditional formatting but not anything like alerts as Xcelsius offered. The conditional formatting can be activated when using a BEx query, I understand. Is that correct? Is there any way to show alerts on a chart? I will be using Universe queries for my applications.
Thanks!

Tammy, thank you for your quick response. Yes, I have used the Chart component and saw what you describe. What I really want to do is color the bars based on the value of another measure (or maybe dimension) and not on the value of what is graphed. I hope this makes sense. I could not see a way to do that.
Thanks again!
Hi Susan - I don't see a way to do that today with the universe as a data source; I recommend submitting this to Idea Place as an Idea https://ideas.sap.com/sapdesignstudio and link back here so others may vote
My idea was submitted:
Hi !
I did something similar: Using CSS, I changed the colors of the graph. Pretty useful when you want all of them to have the same pattern.
Now, if you want to change the colors based on something else that can be dynamic, I encourage you to have a look at my post :
I guess you could read your data, determine which colors you want to apply, and determine the which bar using some of the attributes.

I am surprised why conditional formatting is skipped in INFOCHARTS. I was positioning all my dashboards using infocharts and now I see this feature not supported yet
