Segmentation Issue.

Hi All,

My Requirement is, Our Business will deal with only Contact Person. So, they want to see only Contact Persons under the Segmentation. Generally to my knowledge we will see Accounts in the Profile of the segmentation, and with the help of Attribute List, We will create the Profiles and Target Groups.

Can you please suggest where I can do the configuration changes, so that I can able to view only Contact Persons but not the Accounts in the Profile under the Segmentation.

the best way is to generate a target group containing the organizations, and then use the function 'Convert Organizations to Contact Persons' - this function is available with the following note:

1614329 - Create Contact Persons TG from Organization TG

With doing so you convert any TG in TG with having the contacts only.

You can then work with this TG, or as a follow up, create a segmentation basis containing contacts only out of this TG.

    best regards,

    • Hello,

there are 2 ways to generate the segmentation basis as requested:

      1. From the backend:

Use the following customizing to assign a report to filter contacts from all business partners:

      SAP Customizing Implementation Guide

      Customer Relationship Management
      Classic Segmentation
Define Reports for Creating Segmentation Bases

Then use the report to create the segmentation basis from the backend using the 'Define Segmentation Basis' customizing.

      2. From the frontend:

Define a target group with containing contacts only - similar as mentioned in my first reply. Then use the function 'Create Segmentation Basis' to create the segmentation basis based on the created TG.

You can use the segmentation basis created either with approach 1 or 2.

      best regards,
