Dear Team,

What is the best way to cleaning policy.

Where Can I check the core dump unwanted files in the C drive.

Please suggest the ways to get space and what are the log files can be deleted.

In addition to above steps if you have default installation of BO on C:\ Drive then move your FRS from default C:\ to NAS or other Driver where u have space:-

Venkat,

Some directories you can delete to recover space is as follow:

You will need to STOP SIA and Tomcat first.

  • C:\ . . . \SAP BusinessObjects\tomcat\logs
  • C:\. . . .\SAP BusinessObjects\SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise XI 4.0\logging
  • C:\Windows\Temp
  • C:\Users\Administrator\AppData\Local\Temp

If you have spare drive, another option is to relocate the Windows TEMP envirooment from default Drive C: to D:\

Thank you all,

I have checked the below 2 folders.

  • C:\. . . .\SAP BusinessObjects\SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise XI 4.0\logging

It has occupied very less space like 1GB.

  • C:\Users\Administrator\AppData\Local\Temp

We have cleared the temp files, which has huge amount of files.

So almost 19 GB has recovered in the Windows/C Drive.

But after 1 day, the space it has fallen to 6 GB.

Please suggest the where the huge files will reside to clear them to get the space. Please suggest how to trace the issue.

Please suggest to clear the

  • C:\ . . . \SAP BusinessObjects\tomcat\logs   files too.

Is there any use of the log files to keep the backup of these files. What is the necessary of the logs in tomcat.

Thanks in advance.

Please check the trace level for various servers in CMC.

Probably your trace level has been set to High resulting in generation of huge trace files.

check the event viewer logs for any specific errors if you are not able to connect to CMS.

If you want to cleanup the logs in BO servers, check logging folder where BO installed. Empty the logging folder.

hi,

What is the database used here, oracle or sql or something else? Login to database and try to add space or empty the folders or files in the database. Let me know.

Thanks.
