Hello All,

Could you please let us know the below points in terms of client copy.

What is meant by application data.

What is meant by local and change documents data

What is meant by customizing data

What is meant by cross client customizing  data

What is meant by repository data

Will RFC, partner profile data,BD64,BD54 data will be overwritten in the target client during remote client copy.

- These customizing data can be reached from all clients. Like logical system definitions in BD54.

What is meant by repository data

- Explained in the picture

Will RFC, partner profile data,BD64,BD54 data will be overwritten in the target client during remote client copy.

- AFAIK BD54 and RFC data is cross-client. If you copy only client data it will not be overwritten.

Partner profiles and BD64 data is client dependent. And overwritten when you copy the all client data.

Can you explain me what is local and change documents data

I have two clients in Quality system one is 400 (production client) and 300 ( training client).

I am going to perform deletion of 300 client in QAS system and remote client copy of production 400 to quality 300 using SAP_ALL profile

Will RFC, partner profile data,BD64,BD54 data will be overwritten in the target client (QAS system )during remote client copy.

Hello Sub,

You can see detailed data about change documents in note 180949 - CC-INFO: Change documents during client copy.

The change documents are used by many different applications to log data changes.

Client Copy Profiles are explained in Profiles in the Client Copy.

When you use SAP_ALL profile all data belonging to a client, with the exceptions of change documents and local data, is copied.

This means RFC and BD54 will not be overwritten. But partner profile and BD64 data will be overwritten.

I assume that you will copy PRD system's 400 to QAS systems's 300. Not QAS system's 400 to QAS system's 300.

If so, QAS and PRD system repository are identical then use Remote client copy. Otherwise it will stop giving error. I advise you to use client export and import.
