Hi Manikanta,

You can use the ExcelAdaptater or you can use the AFM Editor.

To use the AFM Editor install in HANA Studio Modeling the Flowgraph Model

and create an excel or can file datasource easily and upload this file into your

database table target.

I hope that help you.

Khalid,

I addressed same question to Florien also.

I would like to transfer ECC Data (tables) to HCP.

ECC is going to stay as it is and transfer should be set up real time/delta.

It should be SLT type transfer to HCP.

What is your recommendation?

Its there a guide available?

What components would be needed.

I need to know this ASAP and any help would be highly appreciable.

Thanks

The components involved are

  • HCP with active DataProvisioning Server
  • Install the SDI DP delivery unit from SMP
  • Download the SDI DPAgent and install it on a computer near your ERP system
  • Configure the ECCAdapter for SQLServer
  • On your HCP setup the realtime replication using WebIDE

Werner, The document mentions Trial Account but I guess it should work for all?

Yes, of course. Just remember that the trial account is SP10 still, your HCP will be Hana SP11. So you can take a more recent version of Hana SDI.

Thanks! I have been trying to find a direct answer to following question but could not get so far. Maybe you can answer:

Can we use traditional SLT to migrate data from legacy ECC to HANA HCP with Real Time option?

That's actually outside my comfort zone. I assume yes, using Hana Cloud Connector you can make HCP and your onpremise ERP system appear as if they are on the same network and then it would be a normal SLT case. Please validate my statements. With SDI cloud and onprem connectivity is the same, you just switch the protocol from TCP to http.

Hello Manikanta,

I think your a qualified answer you have to describe what you wanna do. Do you wanna replicate data from an ECC system using MSSQL to a HANA DB or you do wanna replace your MSSQL DB by a HANA DB for your ECC system?

Florian

Hi Florian,

Thanks a lot for a quick reply..

Yes we wanna replicate data/tables from ECC system (MSSQL) to HANA DB using SDI.

I want to know which adapter we can use for this SDI integration.

Thanks,

Hi Manikanta,

for that you can use the SAP ECC Adapter which supports MSSQL.
