Synonyms - Integrity Check takes longer in IDT

We are currently using SAP BI 4.1 SP5 P3 and have recently upgraded to Oracle 12.2.5 Version. Because of this upgrade were required to pull data from tables via Synonyms as pulling directly against the table can cause incorrect or stale data.

What functions correctly -

After Oracle upgrade,  we made changes in the universe and were able to see synonyms and all reports related to that Universe function correctly when pulling against synonyms.

What not -

Problem lies with Integrity Check, whenever Integrity Check is ran in IDT tool for this Universe - it takes more than 6 hours to complete. 

Note - I have also attached a small note provided by SAP, where it says including synonyms would cause slowness. But the Environment SAP Specified is for BI 4.0 and Oracle 10G.

Does anyone else have the same issue with Synonyms in the universe taking Integrity Check to run so long?? Please suggest.

Hello Vasu,

I would recommend in that case first only check one table/view that you recently changed and check how much time its taking.

My opinion is that instead of selecting all the tables only select the desired one for which you want to go for checking integrity.

Each individual Table/Derived table takes more than 2 minutes to pass the Integrity Check, Whereas before the Oracle upgrade without Synonyms it used to take within 30 Seconds to pass.

Reason we do Integrity Check on all is because we have a process in place where we have to pass the Integrity Check before publishing the Universe.
