Activating Funds Management

Dear Experts,

We are planing to implement the Funds Management for non public sector company.

Is it ok for Activating the Funds Management in Non public sector.

Requirements:

  • We will not impose any availability control check.
  • We will not use for Capex purpose
  • We will not impose  on inventories.
  • Only opex budget purpose we are activating .
  • Budget vs Actual comparison with commitment.

My questing is it advisable to activate funds management based above requirement and what are issues will come in funds management.

Is there any alternative solution please advise.

Hi,

Why would you need PSM-FM for this? Especially, if you are not going to apply AVC checks. Simple CO planning will be sufficient.

Hello

What are the exact customer requirements?

  • Is there a Budget control system (BCS) in place which will be integrated with FM.
  • Any integration planned between MM & FM.
  • What is the scenario for revenue monitoring and budgeting.
  • Also you need to be clear on the FI organization structure & FM - FI integration.

My suggestion is that you go through the documentation available on FM (A sample link pasted above for reference) and then decide.
