Ariba and PI integration via site-to-site vpn

Hello, is it possible to integrate SAP Ariba and Netweaver PI via site-to-vpn?

Please let me know if this are technical challenges on Ariba to on-premise PI connection.

I am not a VPN expert and hence not able to comment on if PI can connect to ARIBA using a Site To VPN Connection.

Typical ARIBA Integration with PI involves, the ability of PI to access the Internet and push / pull data from ARIBA using HTTP. If PI server has access to Internet either directly or through a Proxy Server you are covered. But cannot comment on specific network options.

Ariba P2X Integration depends on whether the Ariba Instance is on cloud or on-prem.

Its Ariba Cloud.

I am looking for information how Ariba cloud can integrate with our on-premise SAP PI and ECC6.

So I was thinking Ariba should be able to do site-to-site VPN to our corporate network.
