UnixODBC file update

Hello,

We currently have unixODBC 2.2.12 version installed in our HANA system and using SDA to connect to the Impala tables.Although the system connects and works properly most of the time, we have encountered some issues of HANA restarting byitself whenever we try to run a select query on the virtual tables and this issue could not be replicated.I have read in the below scn discussion that we need a unixodbc version 2.3.1 or later for SDA to work.I am not much of a linux person and need some help in updating the existing unixodbc file to the current version.I have the latest version of unixodbc downloaded from unixODBC but not sure how to update the existing version to the new one.Any help regarding this is highly appreciated.

Hello,

You have to logon to your Linux machine where the HDB runs, read HANA Administration guide chapter 7, I would recommend going through all subchapters eventhough they might not be relevant for the Impala, however some sub chapters are describing how to perform the updates some not.
