Hi everyone
I'm new to this forum so forgive me if I'm writing this in the wrong section.
We recently upgrade our BO testing environment to the 4.2 SP2 version.
Since we also have a BW 7.4 system I was wondering if I could leverage some of the new features enlisted in the What's New document; for instance the Authored Bex Universe.
My question is: is it possible to build a custom navigation path inside a UNX universe based on a BEx query? Because the relative panel is not even visible.
I have read the user guides but I could not find anything specific. I guess that if it was possible with the old UNV universe then it should also be possible with the new UNX universe.
Did someone already tried this? There is a kind of a workaround?
Thanks in advance for the suggestions.
Best regards
Matteo - there are some limitations with the BEx authored query; I recommend reviewing Christian Ah-soon's document here SAP BI 4.2 Beta - What's New in Semantic Layer | SCN - which explains it best

Hi Tammy
thanks a lot for the quick response.
I took a deep look at the document, however I wasn't able to find any reference to the creation of navigation paths. I can see that it is possible to "Set relative depth selection" but I can't understand if this is related to my problem. Finally I can see in the screenshot that the NAVIGATION PATH tab, which is usually placed under the QUERY tab, is not visible too.
Abuot the limitations that you mentioned, might I ask you if is there some kind of official supported/unsupported features list?
Thanks again
Best regards
