Blank screen in pop-up with sapgui 7.40

Dear all,

after upgrading Sapgui from 7.30 to 7.40 we notice an issue. Some transactions display data via ALV GRID in a pop-up: it happen sometimes that the pop-up is standing blank for some seconds before beeing filled from ALV GRID. It does not happen everytime only from time to time.

It seems to me like an issue related to GPU or graphical processor unit of the PC when is presenting the data to the screen.

Does anybody has such issue? Any suggestion?

It might be due to the ALV buffer problem, try running the reports below and check.

Can you please advise:

1) What is the SAPgui  patchlevel used?

2) Does the issue depend on the patchlevel applied?

If yes,what patch was applied before the issue started to occur?

3)Are all users affected with this issue?

4)If a small or one user is affected, does this issue occur if the

user logs onto another workstation?

Hello Jude, thanks for prompt reply. Below the answer to your question:

1) Sapgui 7.40 patchlevel 7

2) It happen with sapgui 7.40 with no regards on patch level. It does not happen with sapgui 7.30.

3) All users that perform data entry are affected by the issue.

4) It happen both on normal PC desktop (duale core and 4GB RAM ) and on Citrix. I notice that for example using more powerfull PC like macbook pro with quadcore and 8GB RAM it does not happen. That lead me to suppose sapgui 7.40 is requiring more GPU (graphical cpu) resources to present the data.

It should be about the same as 7.30 gui.

Does the issue occur with the theme set to "Enjoy"?
