Hi
I am trying to connect to SAP BW (version 7.4) system from Tableau (version 9.2) and I am unable to do so as it is asking to download the driver.
I have tried searching for the drivers in SAP Market Place and I could not find any.
Has anyone tried connecting SAP BW system to Tableau or has downloaded the driver, please help me you.
Thank you in advance.
Arun.
Hi All
ODBO 64 Bit divers are installed and I was able to connect to the SAP BW system from Tableau. Though it is mentioned that 'OLE DB for OLAP provider' is a part of SAP GUI installation, that itself is not enough.
We need to install this ODBO drivers separately to fix this issue and that is how I fixed it.
Thank you all for your assistance and comments.
Arun.

Hi Arun,
I have Tableau Desktop 9.3 version , SAP GUI 7.4 and SAP BW 7.4 SP 07.
Can you please tell me which driver from the below image I need to install for Tableau and BW Connectivity .
I can not see any drivers for SAP BW 7.4 and SP 07.
The drivers available in sap market place are for SAP BW 7.3.
Kindly guide me to proceed with respect to correct driver required for SAP BW 7.4 SP 07 and Tableau 9.3 and SAP GUI 7.4.
Also please tell me Is it dependent on SAP GUI version also ?
Thanks & Regards,
Shruti Yendigeri

You need to install BWODBO64SP00_0-20007320 for you to connect Tableau with SAP BW. This self extractor file should be enough.
Yes for us to connect with the SAP BW or ECC systems with other reporting tools, SAP GUI needs to be installed. And for your scenario SAP GUI 7.4 should be fine.
Lemme know if there are any questions.

Arun,
when you get the error message in Tableau "download and install drivers " click on it,
goto "Business warehouse" and click on "connecting to SAP BW" .
This link-to the tableau help - clearly states the required ODBO Files.
Thanks

To be more specific -you need the ODBO Driver from the marketplace.

Hi,
If you want the full GUI then go to https://support.sap.com/software/installations.html
.. and search for "SAP GUI FOR WINDOWS"
Otherwise try Note 1496637 (get the note from http://support.sap.com/notes )
Both links are a gated service which requires an S-user . please don't ask for us to attach the files here or send by email
thank you

HI,
it seems that you need the OLE DB driver that's part of SAPGUI Install ,hence the Marketplace link.
Thanks

a. shouldn't you be asking this on tableu forums ?
you're connecting non-sap app to SAP, its that vendor responcibility to provide materials to do that.

I agree with Denis
Unless you can be more specific about which drivers you need from SAP .. then sorry
By the way, I suspect it's the OpenHub service you need . Some info in the link i provided
