Hi Experts,
We have a requirement for custom wave template creation in EWM. The ECC is IS-Retail system and in the material master we have some custom fields like Material index, subindex, etc... It basically represents product hierarchy like Mens Wear > Trouser > Waist 32"
In the EWM we have created the same fields in the product master and the data is in sync between ECC and EWM.
I want to now create a Wave template considering index, subindex. The question is do these fields need to appear in the ODO so that wave template can fetch them from ODO and group into a wave? At present we don't have them in the ODO.
Please give your valuable suggestions.
Thanks,
Sushant
Dear Sushant ,
Since wave checks for valid document type to assign to a template , the challenge we could have on identification of the right document to template as in your case. We can try populating these custom fields with enhancements or on availability of standard exit to retrieve this data with delivery and built condition record around it.
Thanks

Hi Jinoy,
thanks for the reply. however, things are not very clear.
I am trying to set up condition record for wave template determination. and 2-3 of those fields in condition record would be the Z-fields. these Z fields don't come in ODO/ODR and are linked directly to product master. Can you be please more elaborate on how can I achieve this.
Regards,
Sushant
Hi Sushant
First you check these fields are available for creating your custom condition table.
follow these path
follow these ath
You can add manually your z fields. Then you have to implement a BADi to populate these fields to determine the wave.
Check the badi - /SCWM/EX_WAVE_PLAN & /SCWM/EX_WAVE_PLAN
Cheers
