Cost Centers: Actual v/s Plan

hello,

Can someone give me the details steps for giving out a report for the cost center actual vs plan values if they are captured in r/3.

i saw the datasources 0co_om_cca_1 & 0co_om_cca_9 and also the cube 0cca_c11. But all of these capture actual data?

how do i capture plan data? which datasource and cube(from std bus content)?

also how do i pull out a report as they may be 2 different cubes!!

is there any standard cube and report available handling the above requirement?

other details needed will be cost element, cost element group, cost center groups etc

Actual & plan data will be decide by the value type in InfoSource 0Vtype, see how is it mapped in R/3 & try to see values it moves as you should be able to filter data in Query based on Vlaue type

i can't see few documents entered in r/3 using transaction f-02 in cube 0cca_c11.

so these values are not reflected in the actual cost for that cost cetner in the report.

why is this happening? any ideas?

i have done init for 0co_om_cca_9 and full load for 0co_om_cca_1 again.

Hi,

Are you able to see those records in

1. the Cost center line item report

2. RSA3 for 0CO_OM_CCA_9

3. any intermediate Data target

Also note there is a time lag between when a document is posted in FI and when the corresponding changes reflect in CO table in R/3. That may also be the cause why the data is not extracted in BW, but the same record may be extracted in the next delta.

it was due to delayed updates of FI tables in R/3 as rightly pointed by you. the latest extraction have pulled the needed records!!!

Hi,

You need to extract to use the following datasources

0CO_OM_CCA_1 For Plan data

(use VTYPE and VERSN to select the Plan data and the Plan version, as this datasource contains actual and commitment data also)

0CO_OM_CCA_9 For line item actual data (this datasource is also delta enabled)

You might want to take the data from both the datasources to the same Infocube 0CCA_C11, you don't need another cube. Just introduce an ODS in between for the Plan datasource to make it delta enabled.

For Cost element, cost element groups, cost center groups retrieve the master data that is Attributes and Hierarchies and you should be fine.

Have implemented exactly the same thing for a client, if you have any problems let me know.
