SUM SP16 profiles issue (can't save profile)

Dear experts,

I'm trying to set up SUM parameters for my system but there is a step I can't pass through.

When SUM asks me about central instance profiles I input files like this:

However in this case I have strange messages: Please enter a valid path

I have no idea how to deal with this issue:

1) Filenames are absoultely correct and they exist in sid/sys/profiles directory

2) I don't have a start profile as I don't need it

Is there any way to debug this problem? Can it be related somehow yo security srttings of the server?

    Hi Petr,

As far as I know, the file name of instance profiles have naming conventions.

So the profile name entered got the correct file name?

And I'm a little curious, why you tried to change this configuration? SUM should detect profiles automatically.

    Best regards,

I have this exact same issue even with the latest patch of SUM 1.0 SP16. I noticed SAP releases patches for SUM every week but this is still not fixed.

We have another issue using SUM when upgrading SAP BW to SAP BW 7.5 with ERP components where the proposed is to Solution is to apply CISI to target system via SUM and yet because of the error mentioned above, we are stuck!!!

From the screenshot below, it seems like SUM is adding an extra "\" to any profile name entered and then it fails the profile validation

    Hello together,

I'm experiencing the same issue; WinNT based OS and CISI scenario. My EHP8-upgrade project stucks.

First Response from SAP was a hint at note "2286793 - SUM does not accept the profile paths in phase INITPUT_PRE_UI during CISI Scenario on NT Systems".

Unfortunatly I cannot access it. Does anybody know the content of the note?
