Updating material forecast

Hi everyone,

I have a requirement to download material forecast values to file, and then update them from the same file. I can find the forecast values in tables MAPR -> PROP -> PROW, download and upload are working fine. PROP contains the forecasting properties and PROW contains the actual values.

The only way I can find to update corrected values is to use transaction MP31, but I have a sneaking suspicion that the data displayed in Forecasting values has a dynamic component based on the forecasting periods (from the forecasting properties in table PROP) which is going to make a BDC a hassle to build.

Question is: Is there any other way to update Corrected Values on material forecast than a BDC on MP31? Direct update to PROW? BAPI? FM?
