Environmental Compliance and emission management

Dear experts,

I would like to know if anyone has experience in implementing solution - EC and also emission management specially for GHG / carbon emission monitoring

I have read the document about the product EC but would like to know more about actual implementation experiences.

My requirement is to have emission monitoring primarily for GHG /Carbon print for agriculture business client - material is a farm produce. Currently no EHS related solution is used because of their business nature.

Now my question here is if SAP EC and EM can be considered as a near fit for such requirement, especially considering the type of data available - w/o specifications and classifications. These solutions are focused mainly on oil & gas and mineral industry as I understand, so can it still be used for domain agricultural produce?

If not, what are my options?

i can not really help but provide only" big picture". IN document

you will find some "references" to your topic

Generall: Emission Managment is "transferred" currently to "Component Extension for SAP EHS Management). If you do not use the old version you should consideer use of EHSM solution

Generally: my assmption would be that SAP will "migrate" SAP EC and EM to EHSM (inow and in near future). IN current release still some support exists (never have analyzed the "overlap" and extend)

Generally: I can not "confirm" your statements "These solutions are focused mainly on oil & gas and mineral industry as I understand, so can it still be used for domain agricultural produce?"

Any EHS solution covers "more" industries etc. My quesion would be differengt: what is the demand and can e.g. EHSM ot SAP EC and /or SAP EM fulfill it? You should not (in my opnion) focus on "industry" (but it is done often)
