ojdbc6.jar not coming into effect in PI

Hi Experts,

Need your help.

We have implemented OSS note: "1987079 - PI: How to use the SDA Maker Tool to create the deployable SDA for JMS and JDBC drivers" for deploying the ojdb6.jar. The jar got deployed on the system and its showing up in the java class loader viewer.

In PI, we wrote the code for showing up the driver version, its showing up 10.2.0.1.0 instead of 11.2.0.4.0

ojdb6.jar has driver version of 11.2.0.4.0 BUT its not coming into effect in PI.

NOT SURE from where PI system is picking up 10.2.0.1.0 version driver.

System is supposed to pickup the jar which is deployed via com.sap.aii.adapter.lib.sda BUT its not happening.

Need your help/pointers in addressing the issue.

Regards

Yugandhar Reddy

    Hello,

What was the code you had written for this?
    Was this in your UDF?

    • Hello Yugandhar,

Unfortunately do not have a direct answer to that on using the Lookup API to make a Store Procedure call with array types. Never tried it.

With regards to your question is the OJDBC loaded into your SWCV, the only way to find out is to open up all Imported Archives in your Software Component and its dependent Software Components and see if the jar file is loaded into the imported archives. I strongly believe that would be the case.

Arrays looks to be bit new, if we use the standard JDBC api, its not supporting, we had to use oracle apis.

We have checked the SWVC in the imported archives and removed all the ojdbc jars BUT

we found one diff, in Dev env, its still picking up the ojdbc jar from some where but in QA after importing the transport of the deleted ojdbc jar, we were getting error saying driver classes not found.

But where as in dev, we didnot get this error, we have double checked imported archives we didnot find any where, but its still able to find the jar from some where,

One more main diff between our Dev and QA env is,

DEV SAP PI has oracle DB

    QA SAP PI has DB2

The message mapping/ESR would they take drivers from OS level?
