Steps to establish connection between HCI and SFTP server

Hi experts !

My current requirement is to get flat files from a SFTP server using HCI and map them to SAP ByD.

Can you please give me detailed step by step solution to set up this connection and access to the server ??

Hi Mohammed,

You just need a few steps:

Find the details of the sFTP server

- Port (standard 22)

- IP address

- User and password and if it is client certificate authentication, you need to send the HCI tenant certificate to the sFTP server moderator (you need to request the certificate with SAP)

Request SAP to open up the sftp port for the sftp server ip address on the HCI tenant

Configure on HCI:

- In case of basic authentication: create entry in Manage Security Material in HCI Monitoring

- configure your sFTP channel
