"Unable to retrieve chart data"

Hello community,

Could anybody please help me with my following issue?

I try to enter the "Analytics" tile of SAP IBP 5.0 and I come up with an alert window that says "Unable to retrieve chart data".

Do you have any idea about the cause of this alert?

For your own information, I have already integrated/uploaded master data successfullly and  beisdes, all the appropriate roles are already assigned to my user.

Thank you for your support

Do your key figures have currency or UoM converion? If yes, did you maintain the currency / UoM in the setting of the chart? Usually there the alphabetically first entry is per default, for which you may not have conversion factors maintained

... clutching at straws ...

Thank you Irmhild for your answer.

I had not activated the currency and the UoM on purpose.

Eventually, I re-uploaded the excel file of the product master and it worked!

Otherwise,  maybe SAP took care of it more quickly than I thought, since I had already sent a ticket to them.

Thank you once again!

Try activating the model again.

I had a very similar issue before and everything worked in excel but i could not setup any web-ui analytics.

Hi

Do you have set any current period offset?

Hi Vivek,

Thank you very much for your quick reaction.

Yes, I have set a value "2" for the current period offset.

Would that create any problems?

Hi

What you need to do is for any key figure, just add data for current period.

This should solve the issue.

Hi Vivek,

Thank you very much for your contribution.

When I do this, manually through excel, it appears a window that says "the following key figure is not editable".

I tried this with several key figures but again it does not allow me to edit the key figure data

😕

HI Vasileois

i had a similar issue with Control Tower and it got fixed when I uploaded just one KF with current date.

try to modify a KF file with one current data point and upload.

if that doesn't work you may need to file a message.

You should also check the Edit settings of the Key Figures as it might be that they were configured as not editable.

Thank you very much Vivek.

As I see, the key figures that I had uploaded manually contained also current date data, so probably the issue is something else and for this reason I will send a ticket.

Thank you very much once again!

Hi Alcsandra,

Thank you very much for your contribution.

Indeed I could do that, however as I just said to Vivek, I had already uploaded current date data, hence I don't need to edit any KF data.

Probably there is something else wrong. 😕

Thank you once again for your time!
