How to Check Design Studio Data source Performance in HANA

Hi,

I have checked the Run Time performance of a Design Studio Application using the profiling dialog and come to know that 3 ms of time taking to process design studio and 12 ms of time to load the data sources (remote) [Total run time of the application is 15 seconds].

Universe has been used as the data source for this application.

Is there any way that I can confirm that 12 ms of time taking at the back end level (back end used is HANA, so Universe on top of HANA)

Normally if we are using BW queries we can check the query performance using the RSRT T- code in BW. So in HANA how can I check it.

Anybody please help me in this.

I have searched for a solution but couldn't find anything.

Arun - are you using the universe on HANA through the BI platform?  If so what version of BI4.x are you using, which version of Design Studio, and is your BI platform properly sized?

Hi Tammy,

Yeah, I am using Universe on HANA through BI Platform.

BI Version - BI 4.1

Design Studio - 1.6 SP1

Yes my BIP is properly sized.

The application which I have mentioned above includes 12 data sources and I have implemented Parallel Processing Groups.

Hello Arun - what purpose does the Universe serve on top of HANA?  Why not have Design Studio talk to HANA directly?  The universe adds another layer here.

Yeah, I know. But the requirement is in such a way that pulling fields from different views and not even focusing on a single view.

Also this application was first developed in SAP DS 1.4, now it has been migrated to SAP DS 1.6 SP01.
