Hello,

In our ME 5.2 system,I have a question about the Application_Setting table - SQLTRACE.tl_state setting, I couldn't find a place to set it in the manufacturing pages. Can you please advice where to set this value to ON?

we found a very strange behaviour, the ODS al_application_setting table is being updated very frequently by different prod users. and the setting is about this SQLTRACE.tl_state. This behavior only happens in our of our  ME 5.2 systems.

thanks & regards,

Leon

Hi Leon,

This is in ME Logging Configuration of /manufacturing-admin.

Hi Sergiy,

I guessed so, but what I do not understand is that, the ODS al_application_setting has millions of update entries for the SQLTRACE.tl_state. see the bellow screenshot. What kind of Logging Configuration can make so many updates?

From GUI, the value of this option can be set only in ME Logging Config. All other places in code just read it to determine whether SQL Trace should be logged or not.

Maybe you trigger cache update via WS calls?

Is this a multinode or cluster environment? If so, then maybe this is a result of synchronization between nodes.

Hi Sergiy,

Yes, this is a cluster environment, with one SCS server and 4 NW app nodes.

From the audit logs, it seems the production users make the update in the background when they do the normal operations. I have disabled all the Logging checkbox, and up to now there is no new to the al_application_setting tables. Will keep monitoring for a while.

What do you mean 'trigger cache update via WS calls'?

Thanks & regards,

Leon

Leon,

A while ago you asked me about a way to refresh the cache of System Rules and Application Settings. And a WS call of notification service was suggested in response. So, I thought you might use it in production.
