Proxy setup for SAP to PI and PI to SAP (7.4 single-stack)

Hi All,

I am new to this Proxy concept.

I gone through some link's but i have some little bit confusions so plz guide me to how to do the settings and i need one  sample scenario with

end -to-end flow in sap pi 7.4 single stack.

Please provide the solutions.

Hi Kavitha,

You shouldn't set your private email in the forum. The idea is to help the most people possible with our answers in the forum.

It will be difficult to find a step to step guide. You can apply the divide and conquer way to follow with your scenario:

1. Try to do the proxy activation in your ECC and PI environments.

2. Construct a ESR scenario with an easier outbound and inbound interfaces. You can do the XSDs and the mapping in the easiest way possible.

3. Check that you can see this scenario in the ECC sproxy scenario.

4. Do the ID configuration for whole scenario.

5. Test in the sproxy transaction.

6. Do the ECC programming.

From my own experience the easier way to try is to do a proxy-RFC scenario, however you can do a proxy-proxy scenario, but in the receiver side you will need a litte programming, a bit more complicated that in the sender side.

The confussion could be in that you can find the configurations with dual stack. You have an example of of avtivate the AEX proxies here:

I´ve just found another example of activation:

Referring the example, you can do an scenario like in the dual stack but in the receiver channel instead of the XI channel you can use a SOAP receiver with XI protocol. Check the page 10 here: http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/70066f78-7794-2c10-2e8c-cb967cef4...

1.Maintaing two general connections in SM59.(one for connection/one for ESR Service interfaces display.

2.Maintain SXMB_ADM IS_URL.

3.Channel in SAP PI Soap channel with XI 3.0 protocol.

Followed by Inaki's suggestions.
