SUM portal upgrade stuck with target component information

Former Member

Hi Guys

I am trying to do portal upgrade - NetWeaver upgrade from NW as JAVA 702 to NWAS JAVA 740.

I did generated a stack file , Our portal got lot of other add-ons like CRM portal content and BI Java add-on and some of the Business packages related to BI. Apart from this we got c projects on portal and ESS and MSS add-ons and Business packages

when I went in to the Phase: Configuration it started complaining about some of the components missing on the target upgrade.

Please find the screen shot of the error

From the above missing components I want that BI-JAVA components to be included in the upgraded

It allowed me to continue from this warning and at the end of the configuration phase it stuck and not allowing me to go further.

Please find the screen shot where Upgrade couldn't go further.

BI Java is maintained in Product instance of NW702.

Why is the upgrade still complaining about some of the components will be  missing from the Target upgrade, as these BI-JAVA components are in the download dir and well as included on the stack file for the upgrade.

What could be the reason for SUM complaining about the missing components?

please find the screen shot from Solution Manager

Thank you

Hi Phaneendra,

While generating this stack file for NW 7.4 did you included all of your Add-On components also (Source to Target)?

Thanks,

Hi Manish

Yes I did included all the add on components,I only left BPM add on  and 1 XI.Rest of them picked a up by the system.

The missing components it's complaining about are picked up by the system.BI JAVA.

what else must I check?

Hi Phaneendra,

Could you please provide details/screenshot for below:

1. Software Components Version from LMDB.

2. Screenshot of Add-On component include in stack (from solution manager).

3. Is your SLD and LMDB sync is working fine?

4. System verification in LMDB is completing without any error?

Thanks,

MPS

Hi Manish

Sync job is running fine between SLD and LMDB.

There are some errors in LV check ,  but there is a SAP note for that error which i have gone and went  further to generate stack file even though there are errors in LV check.

please find the error screen shot of the error mesg in LV check .

Thank you.

Hi Phaneendra,

Please check & compare SLD and LMDB Software Component Versions as per below note. Also please provide screenshot of Add-On target sp level from solution manager for the stack file you are currently using

2047053 - The Software Component Versions in LMDB is incorrect, missing, or supplied manually

Thanks,

Hi Manish

I went trough the sap note, there are no inconsistencies between the components,SLD is in sync with LMDB and all the components were reflected correct.

Please find the  picked up Add-ons from the Mpoz.

Thanks.

Hi Phaneendra,

Comparing your very first screenshot in this top and the latest one, I would like to know if you had included all the add-ons while generating the stack file for NW 7.4.

First screenshot complains about the same thing that you haven't included some of the components for your Target system. In those few of BI JAVA Components are also listed. Please make sure to generate stack file which includes all the components (addons) which your source system has for Target level upgrade.

Thanks,

MPS
