CS12 Currency Overflow DUMP

Former Member

Dear SAP Gurus,

Good afternoon, please I need your help to solve the following issue when I try to run CS12 TCODE.

Problem Description:

  • I have a BOM with one item.
  • The cost of item is too expensive.
  • The cost is expressed in Colombian Pesos (COPS)
  • This currency has a lot of decimal places, approx 100 usd = 303,524 COPS

When CS12 tcode is excecuted the following DUMP is displayed:

"Overflow during an arithmetic operation type (type P)  in program RCS12001"

If I change the cost of BOM component in order that it takes less decimal places the problem dissapear but this it's not correct because I need to reflect the real cost of my component. So How can I change this setting?. It seems that my BOM only supports until certain number of decimal places and I want to increase them.

I've try to search for many SAP Notes with unsuccesful results.

I really appreciate you support.

Best Regards

David

Hi David,

Do you executing CS12 with requerity quant ? what?

What is the quantity of this component in the BOM ?

What is the PRICE UNIT of this material ?

What is the Price of this material ?

Because, your problem is decimal places or that material is too expensive ?

Hi Dimas,

Thanks for your prompt response please refer the attached file. I replicated the issue in a sandbox client. The problem is the decimal places because this issue  doesn't happen with components with lower prices.

I look forward for your response

Thank You so much

Dear David,

Try to increase the  the Price unit in material master and reduce the base quantity  in BOM header.

Hi David,

In this field, I can only put 11 in length but with two decimal places

999,999,999.99

Its value is much higher.  1,123,947,644

If I try to put your value, gives an error to me (see attach)

You have no problem when entering the MM02, and will screen in accounting 1?

Check what is the size of this field, on your system. If the maximum is 11 this is your problem.

Hello,

Check if below note application solves the problem or raise a OSS  (Ticket) to SAP.

781770 - CS12:Display of 'Standard Price' is wrong if currency is JPY

Hello,

Standard/variable cost does not appear in CS11/12 until and unless you have defined the  it variable list through CLVL. For more information please read SAP note 177006 CLVL: STPOX fields of the material valuation are empty.
