Current offering - CAL IDES?

Hello,

I see a March 23 email from Lyubomira Gugleva that indicates a CAL IDES offering exists and this is also on the Free Trial Offerings via SAP Cloud list.

However, when I connect/login  to CAL, I cannot find this Solution.

Also, when following the link to "get it for AWS" link, the site returns: "The solution was not found".

Please advise; we want/use the IDES on CAL but need to gain a more current one because of an SUSE release issue.

Thanks in advance for good guidance/assistance.

Hello Wallace,

The solution was temporary revoked for maintenance. We plan to have it back by the end of the next week.

Apologies for the inconvenience.

Best regards,

Hello Stanimir,

In CAL, I see the updated IDES now on Hana DB.  Hana DB is logical; that is the DB SAP is focusing on going forward.

My struggle a bit with the updated CAL IDES offering, we like using IDES and I see the current offering only as a trial.

I checked the FAQ for "trial" and see mentions of a fixed 30 day license key.

What option do we have for CAL based IDES (Full IDES, not specific to personas or other items) as we look forward past a 30 day window?

For example, is CAL IDES planned to be a continual item?

Best Regards,

Wallace

Hello Wallace,

You could unlock the solution immediately to skip the trial period, i.e. it is not necessary to wait 30 days.

Once the solution is unlocked you could install your permanent license keys to keep the IDES system continuously.

Hello,

We have the similar issue.

We would like to extend the license period.

>unlock the solution immediately

Do you mean installing a license just by purchasing a new license at SAP Store?

Hello Hajime,

You will need both the SAP product licenses and the SAP CAL subscription package. Login SAP CAL, select the solution and choose Unlock to see the prerequisites.

Please let me know if you have further questions.
