Hi All,
I know you can install both 32 bit and 64 bit versions of the SAPb1 client on a 64bit machine, is there any performance gain in using one verses the other? I know lot of us install both versions on servers, however I think it's unnecessary to install both even on a server since this creates two separate directories for each version. Any thoughts?
You are right, it is not necessary to install two of them. One is enough. SAP is not memory intensive program, so 32 bit is ok in most of the time.

Hi Dick,
The only reason I install 32 bits versions is when a customer uses an add-on which doesn't have a 64bits version. So if that is not the case I should stick with installing just the 64bits version. It saves you time when installing because for both version you will need to install the addons. And should give better performance.
Kind regards,
