I am running Crystal Reports Server 2011. I want to implement report bursting, but the options to do so, or steps required to set this up, are not available to me. I do not have the option to create profiles or publications, the options simply aren't in the menus. Is this a licensing issue or do I require additional software?
Hi Molly,
Please see this links once. I think it is very helpful for your issue.

It does appear to be a licensing issue. I only currently have 1 license and it states:
" - " for Selected key and 0 for Total Licenses for Publication Recipients
Thanks Megh.

Hi Molly,
I am just going by your description. Below is the place you can check if you suspect this to be a license issue:

I'm not entirely sure that Profiles will work with Crystal - I think they may be mainly for Webi or Crystal for Enterprise reports that are based on a universe, but I may be wrong. I always use a "dynamic recipients" report in publications that use Crystal.
Also, you need to make sure that you have the access rights to create publications. You might want to see whether you can create one in your Favorites where you should already have those rights. That would show that it's a security issue if your trying to create one in a public folder.

Molly,
You need to use the CMC to create the Profile(s) first, then you can use Publications from BI LaunchPad &/or CMC.
