Hello,
I am trying to manage resources in "Resource Management" / "Resources". Whwn i look for a resource, a message tells "Resource xxx not found in your worklist".
Could you help me please ?
Many thanks
Hello Dali,
There is more than one possible reason why message "Resource XYZ not found in your worklist" occurs. These are ones that come to mind:
- the message may occur if your user is neither defined as as a Resource Manager of a resource pool, nor defined as Resource or Candidate Manager of an organizational unit. In this case it is correct that the resource management dashboard for this user is empty. If you wish to see resources in the Resources dashboard, you must ensure that your user is defined as a Resource Manager for these resources. You can do this either by assigning your user to a resource pool as a Resource Manager and these users to the resource pool as pool resources, or by ensuring that your user is defined as a Resource or Candidate Manager for some organizational unit (transaction PPOME). Your HR Consultants must also ensure that your evaluation path for organizational units is set up correctly.
- the message may be related to your settings for buffering (Customizing path: Project Management > Resource Management > Fast Entry Screen > Set Summary Line and Buffering of Fast Entry Screen). E.g. the issue can happen if you have activated buffering for the overview screen but not for the workcenter screen (you must instead ensure that either both or none are buffered), or if buffering is activated but you have not populated the buffer (either by executing report RPM_FES_RECALCULATE_RESOURCE as background job or by pressing button RECALCULATE in the Resource Fast Entry Screen in the frontend).

Thank you very much Francesco for your rapid answer,
I didn't know that buffering impacts Resource management.
I have checked and customizing is correct. I didn't activate buffering.
Also, my user is linked to a business Partner wich is defined as Pool Resource Manager.
Please have a look to attached JPG.
Thank you in advance for your help.
Hello Dali,
Glad to read that you could solve the issue, and thanks for the feedback.
I have now added "Resource ... not found in your worklist" to the search terms in SAP Note Nr. 2263940, which should make it easier for other SAP Customers who encounter this issue to find the note.
Best regards
Francesco
