Hi all ,
I am performing a CUA configuration.
Following are the systems :
I have logged into all the 3 systems individually(with user SAP*) and created an admin user [CUA_ADM] [ SAP_ALL and SAP_NEW]
Next we come to the specification of the logical systems using BD54 or SALE
ABCCLNT123
PQRCLNT456
XYZCLNT789
As per my understanding this is how the process flow should work:
1.ABC
I login to the ABC system (client 123) using the CUA_ADM user and specify the logical systems
ABCCLNT123
PQRCLNT456
XYZCLNT789
All three i.e., 1 central + 2 child
2.PQR
I login to the PQR system (client 456) using the CUA_ADM user and specify the logical systems
ABCCLNT123
PQRCLNT456
XYZCLNT789
All three i.e., 1 central + 2 child
3.XYZ
I login to the XYZ system (client 789) using the CUA_ADM user and specify the logical systems
ABCCLNT123
PQRCLNT456
XYZCLNT789
All three i.e., 1 central + 2 child
Is the approach/logic correct ??
That is do i have to specify the logical systems of both the central and 2 child systems in each of the three given systems ?
Kindly help
Hello Abhishek,
You should have administration authorization on all clients when you are configuring CUA.
But CUA users (that are used in RFCs) don't need SAP_ALL auhts. They can be system type users and there are speciala roles for them.
You can check your configuration and follow below links.

These are my notes. They may help.

Hi Yuksel,
Thanks a lot for your reply.
Understood most of it.
Have a small confusion :
SU01
CUA_MET (System)
ZSAP_BC_USR_CUA_CENTRAL
ZSAP_BC_USR_CUA_CENTRAL_BDIST
ZSAP_BC_USR_CUA_SETUP_CENTRAL
CUA_MST (System)
ZSAP_BC_USR_CUA_CENTRAL
ZSAP_BC_USR_CUA_CENTRAL_BDIST
ZSAP_BC_USR_CUA_SETUP_CENTRAL
This is regarding the creation of the system users
MET100 is the central system
MET 001 is the first child
MST001 is the second child
As per my knowledge we should create only one system user in the central system
CUA_MET
What is the need of creating CUA_MST in the central system ??
Thanks,
Abhishek Gupta
Hi Abhishek,
Central System logical name should exists in all the systems (Central + 2 Child).
Child system logical name should exists in its own as well as Central System.
If your child system will be communicating with each other and transfer data then you have to create their logical system name entry in each other. This can be done later on also by Basis team based one functional team requirement and this should not affect your CUA configuration.
Thanks,
MPS
