How to use System Recommendations

Hello Experts,

we are not really clear, how to use System Recommendations in SolMan 7.1 SPS14.

We export the listof notes every month after SAP Patch Day and checking the systems and secnotes.

Some systems haven´t got any secunotes in the last months. For some systems, we get secnotes from 2009 😕

We mark many many notes as not relevant, but want that solman don´t check these notes anymore. Any option?

Doesn´t SysRec checks in backend system, if these notes already marked as "not relevant" in SNOTE?

As next  we ask us about the refresh of Secnotes for a system.

We have a automatic job every week, that checks all systems. If we click on Refresh, we only get the latest notes for this system.

Is that really right? We think normally that if we click, we will get an actual state of all missing secnotes for this system.

In practice, we succesfully upgrade an system to a higher SPS and want to check the open secnotes. The same after finishing the implementaion of secnotes and want to check if any secnotes are still missing. For this situation we have two ways:

First way: We will wait until the next automatic checks were done.

Second Way: We modify the weekly job, delete all systems and only choose the systems to be checked, and after execute modify back to all again.

In my opinion, this tool is very uncomfortable. The Refreshbutton is obsolete for us and not useable.

We think to run the automatic job for every night to get daily a actual status of all systems. But runs about 5,5 hours each job.

What are your experiences? Same trouble? Other workarounds?

I need some impressions and ideas

Regards

Christian
