I have some problem during the upgrade of my sap hana multitenant.

Indeed when I run "hdblcm" as "root", I get the following message:

running in batch mode

No password tag 'root_password' found

and if I run as "sidadm" I have the following message:

Update of SAP HANA components failed.

Update of SAP HANA Database through SAP Host Agent Operation failed!

Update of SAP HANA Database on host 'ip-10-0-0-233' failed!

Upgrade failed

Error checking Upgrade

Checking upgrade failed

Cannot start local sapstartsrv

Waiting for sapstartsrv failed: timeout reached (120)

Waiting for sapstartsrv failed: timeout reached (120)

I tried with the "taking" on and off, and I have the same message.

Thanks.

Hi, Just for reference, this problem can be caused by an incorrect DNS entry.

If your system is not on DNS check your /etc/hosts file,

chances are you have a typo or other incorrect entry or error in this file.
Fix the underlying networking issue and re-run, problem should go away.

(This goes for singleDB and MDC installations.)

      Hi Arman,

I fixed my issue by looking at my servername.

Actually, i've worked at a virtual machine server, which was a copy of another, and it had have the same servername, but the instance name was different.

I've changed all instace name and try the installation again, and this was the good one!

      Regards

      Shahab
