Getting the error message "SAP system message No connect to database, session terminated" when connected from GUI.

This second time in last one week.

DB - Oracle 10

OS - Windows 2008 R2

Oracle and SAP are on the same server and in running state. Oracle listener is running and r3trans gave return code 0000, still none of us are able to connect to server. No network issue and None of the LUNS are SAN disks are altered from storage.

Dev_w0.txt, alert_chq.txt and DB status.JPG are attached for your reference.

Quick help is much appreciated.

Hi Suman,

I don't see anything particularly strange from the logs you attached, I could only think of the processes on DB maxing out, which is set to 80. Did you find any other reasons, please share?

Cheers.

Hi Suman,

May the server running with network loop-back adapter. you need to check main work-group domain IP address might be changed or not reachable. check the message server address has been maintained. If everything fine then check the logon group might be deleted or changed.Alert log and other SAP log will show only successful log if sever if running fine. if the server having problem then you can find the issue in logs.Better find some root cause from your side to find and let us know.

Thanks,

Brindavan

Sorry Suman,

Please paste complete logs you are getting in the syslog link in MMC. By the way have you tried complete restart of the server (SAP+DB+OS) ?

If no, Please try to restart and check as sometimes any deadlock condition blocking the system operation.

Thanks and regards,

Pradeep
