Hi,
Someone asked this question was asked a coule of weeks ago but it was never answered.
I am trying to logon to the alert configuration and alert inbox sections of my runtime workbench. None of my users seem to work including XIRWBUSER or XISUPER. Is there a special user required for this section of the workbench?
Our XISUPER has the role of SAP_XI_MONITOR.
Thanks,
Jim
Hi Jim,
From SP 14 on PMI-free alerting was introduced. That means before SP 14 one has to configure and activate the End-to-End Monitoring, and to schedule the report SXMSALERT_PROCESS_DATA_GET in order to extract the alerts from the PMI data. For SP 14 and higher, that's not longer necessary.
If no alerts are being delivered, please check if "Suppress multiple alerts of this rule" is checked for your rule.
For SP 14 and higher you could also have a look at the report sxmsalert_logreader. This report shows some information about alerts being created or not.
You'll find more information about trouble shooting the alerting in SAP Note 913858.
Also just check if this batch program (RSALERTPROC) is running or not.
Meanwhile look at these forum threads also:
Guess these links also be of some help to you.

Abhy

Hi Jim -
As Michal mentioned, Note 750287 is a key step towards getting a resolution to this problem. Be sure to use the ICM HTTP port as the Note mentions. The J2EE HTTP port is typically in the parameter 'com.sap.aii.rwb.server.centralmonitoring.httpport'.
It may also help to set the profile parameter 'icm/host_name_full' to the fqhn. Also, confirm that the XIRWBUSER is not locked.

Jin

Hi Jim,
does you user have: SAP_XI_ADMINISTRATOR ?
>>>of my users seem to work including XIRWBUSER or XISUPER.
where those users assigned to correct roles
during the install/config activities?
if the page itself does not work
try SAP note: 750287
XI 3.0 Runtime Workbench: Alert configuration does not start
or 813703

Thanks for the reply Micahl. We are on SP15. Our users were setup with the proper roles and authorizations. I had partially implemented note 750287. I have since added the fully qualified host name and I am now getting farther along. It appears that it is getting past the logon screen. However, now I am getting a connection to partner timed out. I'm not sure what this means.
Thanks,
Jim
