BAPI_SALESORDER_CREATEFROMDAT2 and additional partners

How I have not found any documentation that tells how to do what I am about to ask you. If there is any, please share with me.

In VA01 (Create Sales Order), there is a way to add more communication data to one or more of the partners, example, add email address to partner function Ship-to party. This is done manually in the Header -> Partners. We can even add more than one email addresses by double-clicking on the partner function.

How is this done with BAPI_SALESORDER_CREATEFROMDAT2? If not thru this bapi, what does the job?

Thank you,

The TABLES parameter PARTNERADDRESSES in bapi Function Module BAPI_SALESORDER_CREATEFROMDAT2 is the place to do this.

For email addresses, use field PARTNERADDRESSES-E_MAIL. There are many other fields that can be set this way.

When you enter your Ship-To party in the TABLES parameter ORDER_PARTNERS, set field ADDR_LINK. Set field PARTNERADDRESSES-ADDR_NO to the same value.

This is documented in the Bapi viewing transactions SE80 for Function Group 2032 and in SE37 for the Bapi FM.

    • Hi Ryan,

I used both of your recommendations and the test worked perfectly. Once that was successful, it created the proper address link in VBPA and I was able to add multiple email addresses to the same sales order using the ADDR_*COMM* function modules and the VBPA address number.

Many many thanks for your help!
