EWM - Issue assigning Inbound Delivery to TU

Hi All,

When i assign a Transportation Unit(TU) to an Inbound Delivery(ID), i am getting this error message:

"Transport planning data of TU 200000001556 and delivery 7712 do not match"

Message no. /SCWM/SHP_RCV545

I have created the TU and marked it "Inbound". Even though i mentioned the same means of transport in both TU and ID, the system still gives me the same error.

Anything else that i need to check to get rid of this message?

Regards,

Nikhil

Hi Nikhil,

Are you trying to get the TU in EWM through shipment document in ERP ?

If you are not planning the transportation in ERP 'or' EWM, just maintain the 'no obligatory planning ' for transportation planning type against the document category & document type in your warehouse.

Here is the path,

Spro-Img-SCM Extended Warehouse Management-Extended Warehouse Management-Goods Receipt Process-Inbound Delivery-Define Transportation Planning Type (Inbound)

And also maintain the entry in ' Allow EWM Execution Without Transportation Planning (Inbound) '.

Hi CK,

Thanks for chipping in with comments.

I am afraid even after maintaining the config that you highlighted, i am still not able to assign the delivery to the TU - I get the same error message.

What i have done/intend to do is to locally create a TU in EWM and then assign it to the ID.

When you mention "no obligatory planning", does it mean that i can manually create a TU in EWM and then assign it to the Inbound delivery(ID)?

I also changed the config to "Obligatory planning in EWM" and then tried. No luck.

Is there anything else at the transaction level(/SCWM/TU, /SCWM/VEH, /SCWM/PRDI) that i should check/enable to ensure this happens?

Hi Nikhil,

Suggest to check the transportation planning type (TPT) in both delivery and TU in present state. I observed in certain cases TPT in delivery gets determined automatically as A (Obligatory external planning in ERP) irrespective of settings in EWM.

Hello Mrinal,

You are absolutely right in this case. All this while the ID had the TPT as 'C - Obligatory planning in TM' while the TPT status of the TU was 'No obligatory planning'.

Thanks for your inputs.

Also, can you let me know from where is this setting getting determined in the ID? The EWM system that i am using has no link to the TM system.

Is there any config which could be influencing this?

Hi Nikhil,

If your PO matches with the entry in below path

IMG->Integration with other SAP components->TM->Logistic integration->Activate transfer of PO

then TPT will be TM relevant .

I observed this for outbound , I think that the logic is same also for inbound.

Hello Mrinal,

Thanks. This helped me understand the whole thing. Basically the TPT relevance for an ID in the EWM was being determined from the node that you mentioned.

In the config that i have is the system, the PO & IBD were set to be distributed to the TM system and hence the TPT was obligatory in the TM system.

Nikhil

Hello Nikhil,

this means that the TU and the delivery expect the transport-delivery assignment to come from somewhere else. For example the TU is created locally and the inbound delivery expects a message from ERP or TM.

See IMG activity EWM -> Goods Receipt Process -> Inbound Delivery -> Integration with Transportation -> Define Transportation Planning Type

There is a similar IMG activity for the outbound process.

You will also find documentation at help.sap.com/ewm

Hello Katrin,

Thanks for coming back on this. I went to the node highlighted by you. There are no entries in there. What does that mean?

In case there is still a requirement to assign an ID to the TU, what could be required to achieve this?

I did go through the link below:

Assignment of Deliveries to Vehicles and TUs - Shipping and Receiving - SAP Library

Wasn't of much help.

Can you guide me further on this.

Nikhil
